Coaching Apprenticeship

Coaching apprenticeship programs are a great way to introduce aspiring coaches to the industry, teach them the skills they need, and provide them with hands-on experience.

Program Overview:

The coaching apprenticeship program will provide aspiring coaches with a comprehensive training program designed to prepare them for a career in coaching. The program will be a combination of classroom instruction, practical training, and mentorship.

Duration:

The program will be a six-month long program. This duration is designed to provide enough time for the apprentices to learn the necessary skills and get hands-on experience.

Admission Requirements:

Applicants must have a passion for coaching and be willing to commit to the six-month program. Applicants must be at least 14 years old, and have some experience playing sports. 

Curriculum:

The curriculum will cover a range of topics including coaching principles, coaching techniques, player safety, strength and conditioning, nutrition, leadership, and team management. The program will also include training in communication skills, conflict resolution, and problem-solving.

Practical Training:

Apprentices will be placed in teams where they will work alongside experienced coaches to gain hands-on experience. The apprentices will assist in coaching practices, games, and other team events. This will provide the apprentices with the opportunity to learn from experienced coaches, observe the players, and gain experience in managing athletes and or a team.

Mentorship:

Each apprentice will be assigned a mentor who will provide guidance and support throughout the program. The mentors will be experienced coaches who will provide feedback, answer questions, and offer advice on how to improve.

Certification:

Upon completion of the program, the apprentices will receive a coaching certification from Lift Them Up SportZ. This certification will indicate that the apprentice has completed the training and is qualified to coach in the organization or other organizations and programs.
